HDFC Bank credit card launch

VISAKHAPATNAM: HDFC Bank is launching its credit card here on Friday. Available in two options, silver and gold, the bank credit card has been launched in 20 cities, Vizag being the 21st, according to a press release.

Mr Neeraj Swaroop, country head, retail banking, said the credit card business has a lot of potential, especially in the non-metro cities such as Vizag and "in fact, even in the metros, only the surface has been scratched till now. The market is still growing.''

Over four lakh cards issued till now, he added. The interest rates for the card will be 2.65 per cent for the first year and 2.45 per cent on renewal from the second year onwards. The existing customers can avail themselves of the card facility at 2.45 per cent from the first year itself.
