BANGALORE: Sonata Software Ltd, the Bangalore-based IT consulting and software services firm, has announced the appointment of Mr Brijendra Kumar Syngal as an additional director on its board.

Mr Syngal is currently the Vice-Chairman of BPL Communications Ltd, and Chairman, Broadband, Internet and Technology Solutions Businesses and Wirefree Innovision Technologies Ltd at BPL Innovision Business Group.

He is the Governor of the International Council for Computer Communications, Washington DC. He is also on the Advisory Committee of G.S. Sanyal School of Telecommunications, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and Director, Zee Telefilms.
