AIRCOM plans development centres

UK-based wireless solutions company AIRCOM International Ltd has announced plans to set up new centres for software development, quality & testing and 24X7 technical support in the country with an initial expected investment of over 5 million euros (approximately Rs 28.7 crore).

The company that has set up a wholly-owned subsidiary AIRCOM International (India) Pvt Ltd, is also planning to embark on a major recruitment drive, to increase its headcount by 300 professionals by the middle of this year. It already has 60 employees at its office in Noida on the outskirts of New Delhi.

Announcing this at a press conference, Dr Stephen Mockford, Group Chairman and Managing Director of AIRCOM International Ltd noted that the new centres would offer consultancy and support services to South Asian countries, including India and support specific global operations.

With the establishment of dedicated support centre, AIRCOM India would have a new division in the software development group called support group, which would cater to software queries of clients and also provide consultancy support, he noted.

AIRCOM India has initiated the testing of current software modules being developed; they, then, will be passed through proper testing phases and consequently released.

The teams of tester(s) have re-oriented themselves with the testing team in UK International (UK). With the current and proposed testing infrastructure they will aid AIRCOM International, UK counterparts.
