VISAKHAPATNAM: Bio-ceramic health care system, a new alternative therapy, was introduced here on Friday by the Bangalore-based Mega Bio International Health Care Private Ltd.

Launching the products of the company here, Mr K. Maniraj, the President, said at a press meet that Mega Bio had its headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, marketing a wide range of alternative health care products all over the world.

The company, established in 1999, was marketing its products through network marketing. It set up shop in Bangalore in 2002 and the company had so far sold products worth Rs 1.5 crore in the country. It had appointed 15,000 distributors throughout southern and western India to sell the 14 products. The company would spread to all parts of India during the current year and later it would export the products to the neighbouring countries such as Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.

Mega Bio had also launched aloe vera extraction products in India, 60 per cent of which would be for the local market and the rest for exports. Aloe vera cucumber face gel and aloe vera hibiscus hair gel were the main products.

Mr Maniraj said that the products were for external application and they had no side-effects. They would remove the toxins from the system and tone up its functioning. Further, he claimed, they would reduce dependence on drugs. Clinical trials were conducted and the claims were scientifically validated, he added.
