THE Oberoi Group has announced the opening of a hotel in Gurgaon, which is to be re-branded as Trident Hilton from March 1 this year. The hotel has 136 guestrooms and suites.

The new hotel is to be run by the Oberoi group on a management contract basis with the owners of the property. Addressing a press conference, the Chairman of the Oberoi Group, Mr P.R.S. Oberoi, said this was the first such arrangement.

Besides the group was also looking at developing an 11-acre land adjacent to the current property. "We are currently studying various ideas with regard to the vacant land and all I can say at the moment is that it will have an Oberoi brand hotel," he added.
