BLUE Star Ltd, the central air conditioning and commercial refrigeration player, has reported a higher net profit of Rs 3.81 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2003, as compared with Rs 3.38 crore posted in the previous corresponding quarter.

Total income at Rs 146 crore for the three-month period ended December 31, 2003, represented a 28 per cent growth on that for the same period last year. The nine-month cumulative total income at Rs 454 crore is up by 21 per cent.

Quarterly profit before tax grew by 36 per cent to Rs 5.08 crore.

The new order inflow at Rs 590 crore has grown by 34 per cent in the April-December period. According to the company, growth prospects look bright.
