Nirma sales higher

MUMBAI: Nirma Ltd has reported a 13 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 72.64 crore during the third quarter ended December 2003 against Rs 64.31 crore in the year-ago period.

Gross sales stood at Rs 659.93 crore (Rs 626.49 crore). Interest cost declined by 18.9 per cent to Rs 10.64 crore (Rs 13.13 crore). Consumption of raw materials cost Rs 320.32 crore (Rs 293.08 crore).
