BOC India Q3 net rises to Rs 22 cr

DURING the third quarter ended December 31, 2003, BOC India Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 21.54 crore as compared to Rs 1.11 crore in the same period last year.

Profit before tax was Rs 29.05 crore (Rs 2.01 crore) and profit after tax at Rs 27.30 crore (Rs 2.01 crore). During the period, the company earned a net extraordinary profit of Rs 24.91 crore from the sale of its Ghatkopar property (closed unit). The profit before tax and extraordinary item amounted to Rs 4.14 crore (Rs 2.06 crore). During the period under review, the company's gross sales amounted to Rs 88.32 crore (Rs 82.96 crore) and net sales to Rs 79.79 crore (Rs 75.23 crore).
