Net4India to expand reach

Our Bureau

COIMBATORE: The Internet Protocol service provider - Net4India Ltd is contemplating to expand the cover of its `Triple Play' broadband network across 10 cities before the end of the current calendar year.

The Triple Play broadband network is a high-speed network that would carry data, voice and video signals used for Internet, telephony and rich-media applications.

Having signed with 5,000 end-users already for its broadband services in Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai, the company is confident of the future for such services.

According to the company's CEO, Mr Jasjit Sawhney, "The penetration level is pretty low in India at 5 per cent, but we expect a sharp rise as more and more dial-up subscribers shift over to faster and affordable broadband solutions," he said.
