EFI India in hire mode

Vinson Kurian

Thiruvananthauram , Jan. 28

EFI India, the local arm of the US-based Electronics for Imaging, leaders in digital imaging and print management solutions, is on a recruitment binge.

The Indian operation is already close to an employee strength of 100, of which 80 per cent are development engineers, Mr Atul Saran, Country Head, EFI India, told Business Line.

Sales and marketing people, 24x7 operations network and customer support engineers make up the rest.

EFI is committed to grow the Indian operations and is looking at growing the numbers this year (January to December), Mr Saran said.

For EFI, the India Development Centre and the country operations "are very key". It is the largest development centre outside of US.

Asked about immediate growth plans, he said there were currently no plans to look at acquisitions of any kind.
