Insurance-model disaster solution from Comsat Max

Hyderabad , Jan.

28

COMSAT Max has announced the launch of managed disaster recovery solution (DRS) that is based on the `insurance premium model'.

Under this model, most resources right from servers, alternate network and storage are provided by Comsat Max.

One of the distinct advantages that this approach offers is that capex (capital expenditure) is limited or not required and the solution can be fine-tuned.

The Managing Director, Comsat Max, Mr Sudipta K. Sen, in a statement said: "Once corporates define their recovery time objective (RTO) and recovery point objective (RPO), we analyse the business impact and design the optimum solution. Services are defined and delivered through a comprehensive agreement."

"Simply paying a flat annual fee entitles corporates to various levels of recovery options in the event of a disaster.

The insurance premium is linked to the type of disaster solution recommended," Mr Sen said.

Comsat Max has two geographically separated hubs and multiple gateways.
