Hyderabad , Jan. 28

SRILANKAN Airlines will be extending its operations to Hyderabad from February 22 to make it the sixth Indian destination after New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Tiruchi and Thiruvananthapuram.

Bangalore and Beijing too, would be covered this year, the statement said.

The Colombo-Hyderabad flight service will be offered on every Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

"We will promote Sri Lanka in Andhra Pradesh. Apart from promoting India as a tourist destination, SriLankan will also promote Hyderabad in particular around its route network," Mr G.T. Jeyaseelan, Head (Commercial) of SriLankan Airlines, said here in a statement.

The airline is also planning to launch its services to Bangalore shortly. "We plan to offer daily frequencies to all the destinations in the near future. "This year, we are going to resume services to Rome, besides launching flights to Beijing," he said.

The airline would be adding an Airbus A320 to its fleet for India.
