Century Enka Q3 net dips to Rs 15 cr

CENTURY Enka's net profit dipped to Rs 15.47 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2003, over Rs 17.40 crore recorded in the same period last year. Its gross income from operations for the period rose to Rs 254.21 crore (Rs 249.92 crore).

The company also charged Rs 5.97 crore, towards voluntary retirement scheme (VRS) for its employees in November 2003, to its profit and loss account for the quarter ended December 31, 2003. 190 employees opted for the scheme.

There was a rise in the cost of consumption of raw materials at Rs 131.84 crore (Rs 119.34 crore).
