JB Chem net sales at Rs 82 cr in Q3

JB CHEMICALS & Pharmaceuticals Ltd clocked net sales of Rs 81.82 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, a 4.22 per cent growth over last year's Rs 78.51 crore for the corresponding period.

Profit after tax (PAT) stood at Rs 12.15 crore, a 6.32 per cent growth over Rs 11.43 crore.

Meanwhile, the company has commenced commercial production of tablets at its Daman facility, effective from January this year, a release by the company here said.

Commercial production of Doktor Mom lozenges at its 100 per cent export oriented unit (EOU), however, had commenced from September 1.Both these facilities are expected to strengthen the company's performance and translate into attractive tax breaks, the company said. The profits derived from the 100 per cent EOU facility will be totally tax free for the company until assessment year 2009-10.

Further, the company said, its equity shares have been de-listed from the stock exchange in Ahmedabad, from December 8, 2003.
