National food security meet

NEW DELHI: The National Food Security Summit 2004 will be held in Delhi on February 4 and 5.

The summit is being organised jointly by the M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the United Nations World Food Programme, Food and Agriculture Organisation and the International Fund for Agriculture Development.

The President , Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, will deliver the valedictory address while the inaugural address will be given by the Minister for Agriculture, Mr Rajnath Singh, and the keynote address will be given by the External Affairs Minister, Mr Yashwant Sinha.
