New Microsoft India Chairman

NEW DELHI: Microsoft Corporation India today said that it has appointed Mr Ravi Venkatesan as Chairman and General Manager in the country. "In this newly-created position, Mr Venkatesan will have direct responsibility for Microsoft's marketing, sales, operational and business development efforts in India, and will provide a single point of leadership for Microsoft India," said a company statement.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Mr Venkatesan was Chairman of Cummins India, a US-based designer, manufacturer and distributor of engines and related technologies.
