Hardware Corporate - Outlook Amkette bullish on computer essentials; sees 40 pc growth V. Rishi Kumar
Hyderabad , Feb. 2 ALLIED Electronics and Magnetics Ltd, the maker of computer peripheral and essentials under the brand name Amkette, expects to grow business by about 40 per cent this year riding on the duty cuts on the sector announced recently and launch of new range of products including e-cartridges. Mr Rajiv K. Bapna, Managing Director, told Business Line that the company was geared to meet the growing demand for new range of computer essentials particularly with the launch of Series `A' products. The business growth is set to come from the SOHO (small office and home office) and small and medium enterprises particularly in the B and C cities, where there is untapped potential. "At Amkette, we are bullish and looking forward to an era of growth within industry and within our company," Mr Bapna said. "Amkette recently launched 30 different kinds of `e-cartridges', an imaging supply solutions, which addresses the misleading perception that the warranty of the printer will be void on the usage of alternative cartridge in the market. The Amkette e-cartridges are one-to-one alternative cartridges, which match the quality standard of OEMs and are compatible and last longer compared to the conventional compatible cartridge." "Amkette will launch supplies for the Digital Lifestyle segment. We now plan to target the high-end peripheral market. As a first step to this initiative, we recently launched our Series 'A' range of products - wireless, multimedia keyboards and mouse."
