Financial Performance Corporate Results - Software Kale Consultants Q3 net profit up at Rs 1.74 cr Our Bureau
Mumbai , Feb. 2 KALE Consultants Ltd, a provider of software solutions and outsourced services to the airline industry, has recorded total revenue of Rs 12.64 crore and a net profit of Rs 1.74 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2003. Net profit increased by 271 per cent compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Sequentially, total revenue grew by 8 per cent and net profit jumped to Rs 1.74 crore from Rs 4.9 lakh. The above results mainly reflect the performance of the core airlines division, after divesture of most of the non-core businesses. For the nine months ended December 31, 2003, the company recorded a total revenue of Rs 3.57 crore and a net profit of Rs 2.04 crore. This is a growth of 100 per cent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. For the quarter ended December 31, 2003, the airlines division grew by 9 per cent and contributed 87 per cent to revenue. Other segments contributed 13 per cent. The revenue from airlines products was Rs 5 crore. The income that flowed in from managed process services (MPS) stood at Rs 4.7 crore. Exports accounted for 91 per cent of revenue from 81 per cent in the corresponding previous period. Operating profit margins improved to 28.4 per cent (18.9 per cent). The company added two customers. One was for proration product while the other was for MPS. The Managing Director, Mr Vipul Jain, said, "We are on a scaleable and sustainable growth path following successful business transformation. "Order backlog is strong and expected to grow very significantly in the near future."
