Global Hospitals to expand

HYDERABAD: The city-based Global Hospitals, a multi-specialty hospital with a focus on organ transplantation, is planning to open at least two units in the next two years outside Andhra Pradesh.
"We will be focusing on metro cities as we can gather resources for the kind of services we offer," Dr K. Ravindranath, Managing Director, Global Hospitals, told Business Line. The hospital, which broke even last year with a turnover of Rs 16 crore, is hoping to register a turnover of Rs 25 crore. "We have invested in setting up new specialities in the last two years. We are hopeful of achieving a turnover of Rs 40 crore next year," Dr Ravindranath said.
A unit of Ravindranath GE Medical Associates Pvt Ltd, the hospital would be opening a Rs 6-crore trauma centre at Banjara Hills this week. "The launch of the trauma centre and other new facilities introduced of late will help us achieve the target," he said.
