Announcements Indo Rama Synthetics raises product prices Our Bureau
New Delhi , Feb. 3 POLYESTER manufacturer Indo Rama Synthetics (I) Ltd (IRSL) has increased prices across its entire product range with effect from February 1, 2004. This revision, according to a company official, has been undertaken to offset the effect of increase in prices of raw materials that go into the manufacture of polyester. IRSL had last revised its product prices in the month of November last year. Sales volumes of polyester for the month of January 2004 stood at 27,117 tonnes, representing a 35 per cent increase over sales volumes of 20,087 tonnes recorded in December 2003. A statement issued by the company said that the basic price (excluding excise duty) of 130/34 Partially Oriented Yarn has been increased to Rs 73.25 per kg from a level of Rs 71.25 per kg. The basic price of 70/34 fully drawn yarn has been increased to Rs 86.50 per kg from Rs 84.50 per kg. IRSL has also increased the price of polyester staple fibre to Rs 63.25 per kg from Rs 61.25 per kg.
