Rubber declines on lack of demand

RUBBER market declined on Tuesday. Sheet rubber RSS 4 closed at Rs 50.25 a kg against Rs 50.50 on Monday. The weakness shown by the world markets triggered some selling from traders. All the grades, except latex, suffered in the absence of any buying interest.

At Bangkok, RSS 3 lost 6 paise to close at Rs 56.64 against Rs 56.70 on Monday. The March features for RSS 3 weakened to Rs 58.48 from Rs 58.60 a kg at TOCOM .

The futures market also showed weak trend on Tuesday. The February delivery was quoted at Rs 50.26 (Rs 51.00), March delivery at Rs 52.53 (Rs 53.21), April delivery at Rs 55.15 (Rs 55.66), May delivery at Rs 57.31(Rs 57.95) and June delivery at Rs 59.25 (Rs 59.70) per kg for RSS 4.
