Letters India shining
This is with reference to "India shines for some" (Business Line, February 5). It is no more the prerogative of the government with its sops, freebies and interim Budget to promote the "feel good" factor all round. It is now the turn of the Indian courts and commissions which have moved in, handing out judgments, resulting in the even-handed spread of the "feel good" cheer amongst politicians of all hues and parties. Sadly, however, totally oblivious to all these earth-shaking developments, are those who are below the poverty line trying to eke out a living under the most "trying" circumstances, as is their wont.
