A customer leaves his empty LPG cylinder at a wayside collection centre in Thrissur. Domestic LPG consumption in the State has gone up 66 per cent in three years, since it became available in the open market. As against 2.17 lakh tonnes in 1999-2000, it soared to 3.6 lakh tonnes in 2002-03.
