THE Board of Directors at Lintas India Pvt Ltd on Friday announced the appointment of Mr Prem Mehta as Chairman of the Board. Mr Mehta was earlier the Vice-Chairman.

He succeeds Dr Ranjan Banerjee, who passed away on January 31, 2004.

In addition to being Chairman, Mr Prem Mehta will continue his role as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Company.

Speaking on his appointment, Mr Prem Mehta said: "I aim to continue the legacy of integrity, commitment and compassion that was epitomised by Dr Banerjee. His strength and dignity were an example we all need to emulate."
