Rubber turns weak

THE spot rubber prices turned weak on Monday. RSS 4 closed at Rs 49.75 against Rs 50 on Saturday. The trading activity was limited to a low profile in the absence quantum demand and supply.

The March features at TOCOM for RSS 3 moved down to Rs 57.56 a kg as against Rs 57.87 on Friday. The same grade closed at Rs 56.01 (Rs 56.61) at the Bangkok market

The rubber futures followed the weak global trend on Monday. The February delivery was quoted at Rs 49.60 (Rs 50.04), March delivery at Rs 51.50 (Rs 51.90), April delivery at Rs 53.42 (Rs 53.96), May delivery at Rs 55.85 (Rs 56.18) and June delivery at Rs 57.75 (58.23) per kg for RSS 4. The volumes were also moderate.
