Dozco ties up with Daewoo to distribute excavators

DAEWOO Heavy Industries and Machinery Ltd, the Korean heavy earth moving equipment major, has entered into a marketing and distribution arrangement with Dozco India (P) Ltd, for selling its excavators.

Dozco, an importer and distributor of machinery parts for earthmoving equipment brands such as Hitachi, Caterpillar, Poclain and others would be distributing Daewoo's excavators through its stocking and sales network in the country.

According to a Dozco spokesperson, the country is a big market for excavators with the ongoing construction activity.

Daewoo enjoys an international reputation with being number four after Caterpillar, Komatsu and Hitachi.

It is currently number one seller of excavator in Korea with a 45 per cent market share.

Daewoo and Dozco have definite plans to set up a wider base in the country and for joint programme to service the existing machines working in the country, the spokesman said.
