Accidents 33 killed in Iranian airline plane crash Vimala Vasan
Abu Dhabi , Feb. 10 AN Iranian Kish airline plane carrying forty passengers crashed before landing at the Sharjah International Airport this morning. Thirty-three charred bodies were found at the site of the crash, according to a report by the official Emirates News Agency, WAM. The plane, arriving from the Iranian island of Kish was carrying around forty passengers, including one child. It crashed in an area between the emirates of Ajman and Sharjah. Three survivors, two of them in serious condition, have been admitted to Sharjah's Al Qasimi hospital. No details of survivors or their nationalities have been obtained as yet, according to the news agency. Other sources indicated that the plane could be carrying expatriates, including those from the sub-continent, as it was on a visa run. Kish airline carries Asian workers to nearby destinations to enable them to change their visa status and obtain new visas on re-entry as required by the local UAE authorities.
