Keltron plans new products

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd (Keltron) is in the process of developing several new products, including an e-learning software, an interactive lab and a geographic information system, a press release said.

Besides, the company is also in the process of finishing work on the development of a Malayalam operating system for computers. Also on the anvil is a Free Software Research Cell supported by the company. This facility, which is likely to begin operations in the near future, will work on meeting the demand for Linux-based applications from the education sector and the Government, the release added.
