Ashok Leyland may make pref offer to promoters

ASHOK Leyland may make a preferential offer of shares to its promoters, LRLIH Ltd of UK, as part of its efforts to raise $ 100 million from overseas markets.

The company has informed the stock exchanges the board's decision to issue GDRs or Foreign Currency Convertible Bonds to overseas investors, including the promoters.

The company has also informed the exchanges of the decision to split the Ashok Leyland stock.
