Life Insurance Marketing - New Products & Services MetLife launches group insurance Our Bureau
Bangalore , Feb. 11 METLIFE India Private Limited, launched its group insurance policy aimed at domestic and transnational companies located in the country. Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday Mr Tim Mitchell, Vice President, Sales and Marketing of MetLife International said "the policy would be customised to meet both employer and employee requirements." The company has branded the policy as Met Group Life. The Chief Marketing Officer of the MetLife India, Mr Suraj Kaelay said, "Group policies will contribute at least 25 per cent of our premium accretions." For the purpose he said, MetLife would leverage its international relationships. MetLife International already has arrangements with about 90 of the top corporates of the world. He said that the Indian affiliate had already placed its first policy with Phoenix Global Solutions, a captive software maker for the US parent. MetLife, however does not intend restricting its focus only on multinational companies alone, he added. This was partly because, being a late entrant, some of the corporates have already tied up with competing entities. Nevertheless, he said, group insurance would be a focus area for MetLife. However, the focus would not mean any dilution of its retail focus.
