Mungla joining ABN Amro MF

Nilanjan Dey

Kolkata , Feb. 11

ABN Amro Mutual Fund, which is expected to shortly flag off its operations in India, is filling up key positions taking people from various parts of the financial services sector. The latest to be roped in is Mr Deepak Mungla, who currently handles sales functions at OM Kotak Insurance. He is slated to join ABN Amro MF as Head of Sales in India.

Mr Mungla, who confirmed the development, said he will report to Mr Nikhil Johri, CEO. This, incidentally, will be his second major assignment with an asset management outfit; he was earlier with Alliance Capital MF and left shortly after SEBI raised issues with regard to Mr Samir Arora, then working as its main equity fund manager.

It may be mentioned here that ABN Amro MF has already filled some important posts, including some covering the fund management aspects. Currently, other functional positions, including those on the sales side, are being filled up.
