Meet on shipping infrastructure in Mangalore

MANGALORE: The Institution of Engineers, in association with Master Mariners of India, Mangalore Chapter, will conduct a two-day national convention on "Shipping infrastructure and environment - modern challenges" in Mangalore from February 13.

The Chairman of the Mangalore chapter of Institution of Engineers, Mr Ashok Alva, told presspersons here on Wednesday that Vice-Admiral A. Britto would be the chief guest at the inaugural session. The Chairman of Cochin Shipyard, Mr K.K. Murthy, would deliver keynote address. Nearly 100 delegates are expected to participate in the convention, he added.
