Letters General Elections
This is with reference to "A matter of spirit" (Business Line, February 14). True, the ruling party is not bound to adhere to the code of conduct till the Election Commission declares the election officially. However, since the Lok Sabha was dissolved willingly with the intention of meeting the elections in April, this casts a moral, though not legal, obligation on the ruling party to adhere to the code of conduct on its own without any insistence from outside.
