Land acquisition for ECR stretch over in Pudukottai district

Madurai , Feb.16

THE land acquisition has been completed for the East Coast Road stretch passing through the Pudukottai district, according to the District Collector, Mr Hiteshkumar Makwana.

Speaking to presspersons at Pudukottai, near here, he said the land had been acquired through private negotiations for the road stretch, running for a distance of about 31.5 km. The project is expected to take off by August or September.

All persons affected by the project are to be compensated as per the Government policy.

The land acquisition process of the North-South Corridor Road passing through the district has commenced.
