Chennai , Feb 16

THE Hyderabad-based Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI) is to build its own campus in the city outskirts.

The 40-acre campus will come up in the Old Mahabalipuram Road, the information technology corridor, in a couple of years. While the total project cost is not yet finalised, the land cost would be Rs 3-4 crore.

The Chennai campus is part of the Rs 600-crore project taken up by ICFAI to have its own campus across the country, said Prof N. Rangarajan, Dean, ICFAI Business School (IBS), Chennai. The ICFAI is constructing a new campus in Hyderabad in 125 acres, which is expected to be ready in a couple of years. The institute also plans to construct its own campuses at Bangalore and Mumbai, he told newspersons here.

Meanwhile, the IBS, which is part of ICFAI, is completing a 100 per cent placement for its students this month. This year 128 students are joining various companies, including Ramco Systems, e-Serve International and Redington (I) Ltd. Last year too IBS had a 100 per cent placement with 54 students joining various firms, he said.
