Tapping feel-good factor

A worker tapping rubber on a plantation in Kerala's Thrissur district. Higher prices for rubber and latex are encouraging growers to go in for better plant protection measures. The prices have improved on a rebound in transport sector growth and demand. Currently, ribbed smoked sheet-4 rubber rules at Rs 5,275 a quintal.
