Karnataka Bank chief plea

MANGALORE: The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Karnataka Bank Ltd, Mr Ananthakrishna, has said that banks should concentrate more on banking operations than treasury operations. This will help reap consistent profit in the volatile financial market.

He was addressing the regional heads of the bank at the regional review meet for the quarter ended December 2003, according to a press release here.

Mr Ananthakrishna said that quality in work, product, and service would lead to progress and success.

He called upon the Assistant General Managers of eight regional offices to guide the branches with latest information and the happenings in the market.

The General Managers, Mr P. Jayarama Bhat, Mr G.K. Bhat, Mr N.S. Chakkera, and Mr Jayagopal Yekkar, were present.
