BSNL inks pact with Korean co

New Delhi , Feb. 20

BHARAT Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) and KT Corporation (KTC), Korea, have signed a memorandum of understanding to work on broadband Internet business in the country.

The MoU was signed by Mr N.K. Mangla, Director (Commercial & Marketing), BSNL and Dr Hansuk Kim, Senior Vice-President & Head KT Global Business Centre.

According to an official statement, "considering the mutual business interests, BSNL and KTC have agreed to share resources, know-how and capability to operate the broadband business in India.

While KT shall provide know-how and equipment, BSNL shall use its huge wire-line customer base of more than 35 million and extensive bandwidth infrastructure."
