HYDERABAD: The Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry is organising a seminar on `Rural development - Opportunities and challenges' here on Saturday.

"The aim is to create awareness among non-governmental organisations and corporate community about various opportunities and challenges in the area of rural development. It will also focus on challenges in discharging their corporate responsibility," Mr Lakshmi Ananth Ram, Secretary General of FAPCCI, said here in a press release.

To be inaugurated by Dr N. Janardhan Reddy, Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural development, the seminar will be attended by representatives from the Government, several NGOs and the corporate sector. Some of the topics for the seminar include `Constraints in marketing of rural and agricultural products and solutions', `Infrastructure as a tool for economic development in rural areas' and `Rural renaissance through rural technologies'.
