AP DWCRA team for Guwahati expo

HYDERABAD: About 30 DWCRA (Development of Women and Children in Rural Areas) teams from Andhra Pradesh will take part in the regional SARAS exhibition slated to be held in Guwahati from February 25 to March 5.

"They are taking with them goods worth Rs 50 lakh. The product range includes Pochampally sarees, kalamkari items, handicrafts and ethnic food items," Ms C.S. Ramalakshmi, Commissioner for Women Empowerment and Self-Empowerment and Self-Employment, said here in a press release.

The Government of Assam and Union Ministry of Rural Development are jointly organising the expo.
