Bandh disrupts train services in Kharagpur, Adra divisions of SER

TRAIN services in Kharagpur and Adra divisions of South Eastern Railway (SER) have been disrupted since Tuesday morning owing to agitations by Bharat bandh supporters at different stations such as Santragachi, Balasore, Dasnagar, Midnapore, Haldia, Shalimar, Garbeta, Jhargram, Contai Road, Dantan, Balichak, Haur, Purulia, Bankura, Salboni, Chandrakona Road and Madhukunda.

As a result of the 24-hour bandh, a number of mail and express trains suffered detention at various stations enroute. A number of EMU trains have also been cancelled/short terminated.

According to a SER release, the Shalimar-Bankura Aranyak Express and Purulia-Howrah Express will remain cancelled. The Howrah-Bhubaneshwar Dhauli Express has been terminated at Balasore and will run back as corresponding down train from Balasore to Howrah. The Howrah-Ranchi Shatabdi Express has been terminated at Kamarkunda, and the Ranchi-Howrah Shatabdi Express will remain cancelled.
