TRAI recommendation

This is with reference to "Defer CAS by 3 months: TRAI" (Business Line, February 25). TRAI's recommendation to defer the conditional access system by three months is good news for the public.

But the question now arises: What about those who already bought set-top boxes? It is also not clear why the Centre showed undue haste in implementing CAS. There is a clear need for more regulation on the television front.
