New Delhi , Feb. 25

JLETS Technologies, an Indian Geographical Information Systems (GIS) software development company, has been awarded a project to develop census indicators of Nepal by the country's government.

The company, which claims to have developed simple maps for small and medium enterprises, will provide census information along with map data for better understanding of various indicators such as demography, education and health to Nepal Government organisations.

"The census indicators are statistical values that collectively measure the capacity to meet present and future needs of the population. When coupled with GIS, these indicators can play an important role in the development of an area by helping the Government collect critical information regarding the citizens," according to Jlets Chief, Mr Manish Prasad.
