Coca-Cola launches Olympic torchbearer nomination drive

Mumbai , Feb. 25

COCA-COLA India on Tuesday announced the launch of its Olympic Torch Bearer nomination programmes to select 42 torchbearers and seven escort runners to participate in the global relay of the Olympic Flame on June 10.

The programmes include essay competitions for school students, a radio phone-in nomination programme and key account activation in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai and Hyderabad.

Mr Sanjiv Gupta, President & CEO, Coca-Cola India, said: "This is a wonderful opportunity for the community to share in the magic of the Olympic Games and show what the Olympic Spirit means to India."

The programmes will revolve around the theme `Recognise Inspration' and nominations will be screened by a panel of judges and the chosen few will be invited to New Delhi by Coca-Cola to participate in the event.
