South India quiz contest for colleges

THE next three days are going to be eventful days for quiz contestants in the South. Over 130 teams from various colleges in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, are to meet at the Jansons School of Business at Karumathampatti near here for the preliminary round on February 27 and 28.

Renowned quiz master Mr Siddhartha Basu will conduct the finals on February 29.

According to the Programme Director, Jansons Business Quiz 04, Dr D. Dhanapal, 72 colleges - engineering and arts and science colleges — from the southern States have registered for the South India Quiz Contest.

A total of 133 teams are scheduled to meet at the preliminary round, which begins on Friday. About 65 teams would meet each day (during the next two days), of which 12 teams (six from each day of preliminary) would be selected for the pre-finals. Six out of the 12 would be selected for the final round on Sunday.

Business Line is the media partner for the Business Quiz. The organisers have indicated that the questions would be from business, economy, management and general knowledge.
