`EFI betting big on India'

Bangalore , Feb. 26

EFI India, which plans to touch 200 people this year, is key to the parent company's current and future applications in digital imaging and print solutions market, said Mr Ghilad Dziesietnik, Vice-President, here on Thursday.

"We are betting the future of EFI on India,'' he said referring to the planned team expansion and importance of work being done out of EFI India.

The company, which is participating in several campus interviews this year, said it expected the India centre to create printing workflow applications, Web applications and standalone service applications.

"Products from the India centre are going onstream now,'' said Mr Ghilad.

He added that India would grow to become the largest development centre outside the US with inputs for its colour server and core imaging technologies.
