Bangalore , Feb. 26

SDG Software India is planning to take its 50-person operation to 200 over the next 18-24 months, said Mr Sriram Potti, Country Manager.

The company is planning to leverage its onsite, nearshore and offshore resources to develop its e-security solutions and offer e-strategy consulting to the North American market, Mr Potti said.

The company also plans to tap the Indian market, especially banks and insurance companies as well as quasi-government bodies, such as universities, with its e-security solutions.

Mr Potti said the company's enterprise directory services that establish a platform or its e-business development that integrates disparate systems will enable organisations to manage their resource better.

"In the last year, e-security has attained prominence in India as companies begin to differentiate between network security and e-security."

Investment in security services grew 18 per cent in the past year, Mr Potti said, adding that the market for security was between $16 million and $20 million in India.
