Ashok Leyland launches Ecomet LCV

Hyderabad , Feb. 27

ASHOK Leyland Ltd, the flagship company of the Hinduja House, today announced the launch of Ecomet, a light commercial vehicle, in the Andhra Pradesh market.

The company plans to roll out this offering to other parts of the country and aims to acquire about 20 per cent share in the LCV market.

Addressing a press conference at the launch , Mr V.M. Hombali, General Manager of Ashok Leyland, said Ecomet is fitted with a fuel-efficient Hino engine that offers six-speed overdrive with synchromesh gearbox that offers better pickup.
