The Hindu Business Line : Team Q.E.D. wins travel quiz

Winners at the competition won gifts worth over Rs 1 lakh including holiday packages from Sri Lankan Airlines, Mahindra Holidays and gift coupons from WITCO, a luggage store chain.

The event was organised by Oxfam India, an NGO and WITCO, which sponsored the quiz. The fundraiser was for Oxfam's projects such as an emergency response programme for the Gujarat earthquake and the drought affected in Orissa, Rajasthan and Karnataka, according to a press release from the organisers.

Of the six teams that made it to the finals, team Q.E.D. comprising G. Swaminathan and Ravi Venkatesh won the first place, Castaways with Avinash Mudaliar and Gopal Kidao the second, and the Merry wives of Windsor with Shriram Narayanan and Renuka Srinivasan came in third.
