Titan to market Tommy Hilfiger designer watches in India

Mumbai , March 1

GVM International Ltd, a licensee of Tommy Hilfiger Licensing Inc (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tommy Hilfiger Corporation), and a member of the Murjani Group, announced on Monday it had entered into an exclusive sub-licensing agreement with Titan Industries Ltd to market and distribute Tommy Hilfiger watches in the country.

According to the company press release, the water-resistant watches are finished with the signature details unique to the Tommy Hilfiger brand. The collection will be priced between Rs 3,500 and Rs 8,000 and will be available at Tommy Hilfiger flagship stores, Titan showrooms and department stores, and at select `Time Zone' and premium multi-brand watch outlets in early 2004.

Said Mr Bijou Kurien, Chief Operating Officer, Titan Industries Ltd, "Tommy Hilfiger will not only complement our portfolio in the premium segment, but will also strengthen our position in the fast growing designer watch market in India."
